Lucy and Dharm have recently purchased a beautiful 1930s property on a stunning tree-lined street in the heart of Altrincham. This home is most definitely a keeper for this young family, however was in much need of renovation having been largely untouched for the past 40 years. With two young boys, Lucy wanted a home which could grow and adapt with them over the next decades. As with many clients, Lucy and Dharm were stuggling to visualise the potential this home had for extension and reconfiguration.

We provided 5 sketch options for the family, which included rear and side extensions, loft conversions, garage conversions and general internal reconfiguration to highlight how this house could grow from 4 to 6 bedrooms and incorporate the open-plan family living that they craved. Some of the options worked better than others, which was a valuable part of the exercise in helping Lucy and Dharm to understand what was feasible with this property.

The family are currently weighing up the options and we hope to move forward with this one very soon!
